Breast Reduction
In contrast to augmentation surgeries, breast reduction surgeries are based on the removal of excess breast tissue and skin that cause breast size. Although these surgeries have aesthetic concerns, in patients with very large breasts, reasons affecting general health are added to this. These operations also provide the patient with a comfortable life by ending chronic back and neck pain, itching and rashes under the breasts.
Breast reduction surgeries are performed under general anesthesia. Depending on the technique, there will be a single or inverted T-shaped surgical scar extending straight down under the breast, and the prominence of these scars will decrease in the following years.
The postoperative recovery period of the patients is approximately 1 week. Following this period, patients can return to their normal life.
